From the imaginative depths of Wonder Dream steps a villain unlike any other, Omorfia, the Cheshire Cat Kaijin codenamed “Hero Hunter.” We sat down with her creator, Eromui, for an email Q&A to learn more about this dark, chaotic, and utterly charming Toku villainess and the creative vision behind her.

1. Introduce to us who Omorfia is, where is she from and what does she do!

Omorfia is a Cheshire Cat Kaijin codenamed “Hero Hunter,” an Oneiroh (dream entity) from the imaginative realm of Wonder Dream. She preys upon imaginary Toku Heroes and harvests their energy, seeking to break the boundaries of her dimension and forge a path into the waking world. She possesses a dark magic that conjures nightmare oddities, tailored specifically to the heroes she hunts.

2. From your creator POV, how did the idea for Omorfia come about and when did you first conceptualize it?

She originally started as my Tokusatsu persona, created so I could be a VTuber during the COVID era. I wanted a dedicated identity just to discuss Toku content, especially the indie projects. Ultimately, VTubing wasn’t really my vibe. I realized I wasn’t quite talkative enough to carry solo content on my own.

3. What were the influences or inspirations leading up to the creation of Omorfia?

I based Omorfia after the Cheshire Cat from Alice in Wonderland. I love the creative tales of surreal experience, traveling through a divine dreamscape and meeting bizarre characters. This fun, chaotic, and mischievous Toku Villainess represents my wild side, and honestly, being a feline just adds the perfect touch of charm!

4. What are your plans moving forward for Omorfia? Will we one day get to see someone suit up as her in real life?

I’m looking to collaborate with a hand-picked selection of the finest indie Toku heroes to create a short, AI-driven battle web series. This web series serves as a platform to elevate independent Toku projects and share our collective passion with the Tokusatsu community. The age of AI has truly opened up incredible new possibilities for visual storytelling, and I want to encourage fellow enthusiasts not to shy away from using these tools to bring their own dream Toku projects to life. With strategic budgeting and a bit of luck, keep an eye out for Omorfia making her debut at future ACG events!
